GutCareHub started as a simple frustration: there was no single resource that took anal fissure and fistula recovery seriously, treated readers like adults, and gave practical day-by-day help. Most websites either glossed over the topic or buried information under SEO bloat.

What we do

We build interactive tools and clear, evidence-based guides for people recovering from anorectal conditions. Five tools — a personalized plan generator, a daily symptom tracker, a smart symptom checker, a doctor-visit prep tool, and a recovery library. All free. No accounts. Your data stays on your device.

How we write

Every guide is researched against current clinical guidance from the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS), the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG), the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), and recent peer-reviewed literature. We update articles as evidence evolves. The "last reviewed" date on each page is real.

We aim to be specific, honest, and not sensational. We'll tell you when something is uncertain or when guidelines disagree. We'll tell you when you should stop reading and see a doctor.

What we are — and aren't

GutCareHub is an educational resource. It is not a substitute for medical care. We do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. The tools on the site are designed to help you think clearly, prepare well for clinical visits, and take consistent action on the basics — they are not medical devices.

How we make money

We use two ad-supported revenue streams: display advertising (Google AdSense) and product affiliate links. When we link to a product (a sitz bath, a fiber supplement, a cushion) and you buy it, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only link to products we'd suggest to a friend in the same situation. Full affiliate disclosure.

Reader trust is the only thing this site has, so we don't accept paid placements, sponsored content, or anything that would put a recommendation behind a paywall.
